On Your Mark, Get Set...

We are getting ever closer to GO as we are busily preparing for the start of our classes in the upcoming 2013-2014 school year. The schedule may be a bit different starting this August, but the enthusiasm for awesome learning experiences hasn't shifted one bit! Meridian Classical Center for Learning will again be offering enrichment opportunities to students in grades PreK-4 through high school. Starting August 19, 2013, area home school students can join with us on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30-3:00 at Trinity Lutheran Church on Hwy 39N for hours filled with foreign language fun, integrated reading, writing, history, geography and Bible lessons, as well as other such endeavors as art and music. Add in a beaker and a test tube or two and we'll show you a combination that gives chemistry a whole new meaning. Our classical education emphasis will continue as we focus our efforts on Ancient History. Oh, so many exciting places and people about which to learn! Call Cathy Ray at 601-604-1470 for registration information so your child can join in on the adventure, or inquire at meridianclassical@gmail.com.

Come by and visit the Meridian Classical Center for Learning table at the MCHE Homeschool kickoff event Saturday, August 10th at 2:00 PM in the fellowship hall of Highland Baptist Church.

What a fun party!

It's always something special when you can celebrate a holiday with festive food and decorations. It's even more special when you can party with your friends. While all of those elements were present at lunchtime today, the best part of this Valentine's Day was seeing the kindness and generosity of the students, teachers, and parents toward each other as they shared a glorious sunny day celebrating God's love. What a blessing it is to be able to enjoy that kind of simple joy over pizza, party napkins, all things sugar, and construction paper hearts. Meridian Classical is indeed a special place to be.
